May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Let’s Talk About Feelings 💛

At Bright Littles, we believe mental health is the foundation for raising kind, confident, and emotionally aware kids. Just like learning to read or ride a bike, understanding feelings is a skill—and one that kids can learn early with the right tools. 💬🧠

This May, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re focusing on emotional wellness through our five Bright Littles topics:
🌈 Diversity – How differences make us stronger
🌿 Nature – How the outdoors can calm and inspire
🛡️ Safety – Feeling secure, inside and out
💪 Health – Caring for our bodies and our minds
💫 Self – Understanding who we are and how we feel

Why start early? Because kids who learn to identify and express emotions at a young age are more likely to succeed socially, academically, and even physically. In fact, research shows that children with strong emotional skills are 54% more likely to have positive mental health as adults. That’s a pretty big deal.

We’re especially excited that this powerful month marks the launch of the Bright Littles Conversation Club—a daily digital tool designed to make these important chats easy, meaningful, and fun. In just five minutes a day, families can explore big feelings in small, manageable ways. ✨

And if you want to go even deeper, our Feelings Journal is the perfect next step. It's a creative space for kids to express, explore, and build resilience—because emotions aren’t going anywhere, but learning how to navigate them makes all the difference.

This month, let’s open our hearts, ask big questions, and create space for every feeling. 💛 Because when kids understand their emotions, they grow up stronger—inside and out.
