If we want to raise a generation that values the vote, we must start the conversations now!

Here are some tips and conversation starters:

The Vote with your kiddos - Let’s include them in the process!

• Talk about why you are voting for a particular candidate. How do they align with your family’s values, and why?
• Explain why voting is important and share how voter suppression doesn’t make all voting fair. Kids understand the concept of fairness and right and wrong.
• Encourage kids to speak up when they disagree. Let’s encourage our kids to have an open dialogue and to question adults – including us respectfully!
• Share times in our history we have accomplished incredible things as a nation and when we have not.
